Anoushka Shankar performs her new album ‘Land of Gold’ – Book Now!
13 October 2016

Anoushka Shankar’s new album ‘Land of Gold’ releases on 1 April. We’ve heard the title track – ‘Land of Gold’ – and it’s b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. The album, which focusses on the themes of movement and even features the sound of kathak dancer Akram Khan’s dancing feet – is a heartfelt response to the current refugee crisis. It’s spilling over with exciting collaborations – including with MIA, Vanessa Redgrave, vocalist Alev Lens, and the girls’ choir ‘Girls for Equality’. As Anoushka Shankar says in this must-watch trailer for the album, “all strong women who use their voice”.

We’ll of course tell you what we think of the full album once it’s out. The purpose of this post is to tell you about her October concert at the Royal Festival Hall, which is already half sold. Get booking if you want to hear the album live!
