Seema Anand is really something. A captivating (and learned!) storyteller, she brings alive the ancient art of oral storytelling – performing pieces from ancient mythology, folk tales, legend and fable in a way that allows audiences to insert their own imagination and become part of the stories. We first saw her at the Rich Mix performing tales of love and seduction from Mughal Emperor Akbar’s ‘Hamzanama’, and were ourselves seduced. We’ve been to see her at Asia House several time since, where she returns this month to mark the end of Diwali and Halloween with ‘Stories of Light and Dark’. Highly recommended!
Listen to Seema deliver a TED talk on the art of seduction here.
